Mugshot Websites
More and more mugshot websites
are added to the internet everyday that charge for removal of
posts which include mugshots and personal information obtained from local law enforcement and
government agencies. These sites then charge fees for removal any where from
$100.00 to $399.99 and up
for one post removal.
Our goal is to shut the door on these sites and change the laws so they
will not have access to extort money from those whose mug shots are
posted.
Some of these sites are so offensive we
have intentionally removed links to them. It is not our intention to
provide access but, information as to the names of the sites. Please
view the site below. We have removed the names of people posted and
hidden their faces to protect their identity on our site at least.
The site below is Orlandocriminals.com.
It is exactly the same design and dialog that is contained on several we
have listed including Collincriminals.com. They focus on degrading the
person in the photograph while providing all information regarding them.
This is nothing less than defamation of character and bullying. Both
crimes in the US. If you have been posted on any of these sites please
contact us. Please see the areas highlighted with the red boxes.

RE: Mugshot Websites Hiding Behind Freedom of
Information Act-
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a federal law that gives the
public the right to make requests for federal agency records. All
federal agencies, including EPA, are required to make requested records
available unless the records are protected from disclosure by certain
FOIA exemptions.
So the disclosures you see on mugshot
websites example from mugshots.com states: The following Official Record
of (Name) is being redistributed by Mugshots.com under the Freedom of
Information Act. This Official Record was collected from a Law
Enforcement agency on 6/27/2012. Address herein provided within Official
Records, visualization provided by Google Maps.
So unless your mugshot and information
was obtained from the FBI's Most Wanted List their redistribution
disclosure is worthless.
Does not apply to records taken from state courts or local law
enforcement agencies. These agencies are governed by state law.
Now get to work and check your
county and your state laws closely.
Help us find statues that pertain to public disclosure in your
county and state in laws that will assist us in getting the laws changed
and get these sites shut down!

information or names of employees associated with these sites please
